New application for Renewal of Mandatory HMO Licence

This application form is for the renewal of an HMO licence under the mandatory licensing scheme.

If you have previously applied for a licence on-line, you will simply need to check the information in your original application, and update if there have been any changes. You will also need to attach up to date documents relating to gas safety, electrical safety, fire safety etc, where relevant.

If your previous licence application was made on a paper form, then you will need to complete the form in entirety. It is recommended that before you start you have the following information to hand:

• Name, address and contact details of all owners, leaseholders, mortgagees and managing agents of the HMO to be licensed.
• If the HMO is owned or managed by a company, the company number and the name, address and date of birth of the directors.
• An electronic copy of a floor plan of the HMO with room dimensions, which can be uploaded with your application.
• Electronic copies of your gas safety certificate, certificates of testing of the fire alarm, emergency lighting, electrical installation, where relevant.
• Details of any other property licences you hold.

When you have this information to hand the application will take around 45 minutes to complete

NOTE: If you have more than one property to licence it is recommended that you complete the ‘My Profile’ section before you complete the application form to save you time and having to enter duplicate information. To access 'My Profile', click on 'My Account' after you have registered. You can then choose the ‘Saved Data’ option when shown and select the relevant party's details.
